I am moderately surprised that this is a SFW project

That's what I thought at the end of the video. With some hardware upgrades to the saddle and input mappings to play Rez, this could create some real buzz.

Seems like an ideal project for an active feedback. An almighty motor in the seat? Could even yeet you across the room if you fall off.

Put another motor under the seat to rotate it on Z axis. Emulate dragging if you fall.

Glorious! Next step - find a game where you ride on a flying creature and add the necessary controls. Apparently, you can tame flying creatures in No Man's Sky, for example. You'd probably need to balance with the body? Read through pressure sensors. Might be incredibly cool if well implemented!

I almost expected a saddle like setup on a wooden horse or stool. This isn’t that but after watching the video, my fears about it being stirrup controlled were evaporated when I saw the little bridle lead you pull on. Very cool indeed. Super niche for RDR2 but very cool.

I love it! Very creative solution for a very niche "problem". Have you ever been horse riding before, or since starting this project OP?
