Personally I think this is the best method, and I hope the entire online SaaS world switches to it. If I only want to spend $5, I add $5 to my account. Period. If I want the service to continue working in case of peaks, I enable auto recharge with a limit. OpenAI is ahead of competitors, believe it or not.

They already had a way to set spending limits. It’s still there I believe.

You mention auto recharge. How do you enable this? It would make me much happier to have credits refill as I’ve seen on other SaaS platforms.
