AI x-risk is a load of hogwash based on extremely faulty reasoning ill-adapted to real ML architectures and political/economic reality. There is absolutely no reason to worry about the deceptive turn of a paperclip maximizer. Yet because of these sci-fi trope fears, real human progress is being held back.
Because there is nothing even approaching the claimed risk of "AI", and they're stifling the growth and potential that LLMs have at vastly improving our lives.
