Hey HN - I'm building Ribbon, it's a new professional network centred around verifiability.

We were initially motivated by how much clickbait there is in the LinkedIn news feed. I've heard from a lot of LinkedIn users who love the network and profile page aspect of LinkedIn, but want to get away from the engagement bait and toxic content. So that's exactly what we're building.

We just launched "Import from LinkedIn" which allows you to easily import your experience and then get others to verify it (if you wish!). We're focused on building out more features for our profile pages, we want to give you as much customizability as possible. Your Ribbon profile page should be the best place to show off your skills and experience.
