A single injection of stem cells slashes risk of heart attack or stroke by 58% (freethink.com)

Not to be a wet blanket, but this is a post hoc haul from a study that failed to meet its primary and secondary endpoints. The sponsor has been throwing "MSCs" at multiple unrelated medical conditions for around 20 years. The putative mechanism of action of these cells in preventing MI and stroke remains speculative and unsubstantiated.

> The stem cells come from the bone marrow of healthy adult donors and are then multiplied in the lab using a proprietary method.

Perhaps misguided but isn't there a scientifically proven way to increase production of our stem cells?

I thought fasting does this to a degree.

Does this still work if you use your own cells to multiply and inject?
