Fujifilm cameras have an image processing chip that is used for film simulations, which this computer software also uses. Essentially it's in-camera editing controlled through a PC.


That's probably a sign of the famous Japanese inability to write software more than anything. Sony cameras come with a free version of Capture One that recreates the official picture styles, though that's not that interesting.
