The US is unvisitable.

With 1% in jail & 1% out but with travel restrictions. A visit of more that a few weeks is a hell of a risk.


In the meantime millions of people would kill for a green card.


Millions of people don't care for freedom or privacy or many other things. Doesn't mean they are unimportant.


This isn't really that hard to understand:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Clearly "phones" falls under the category of "papers and effects".


Although we may need to provide our physical devices, I think the more important question is whether or not we are required to provide the password to our devices. It shifts from something we have to something we know.
