Ouch. Yes I've experienced this. I struggled with my first experience supervising a team of one. We were also two people in different places in our lives and maybe less shared experience than I have with a fellow gamer or geek. And it was remote. We did build trust, but it was slow going. I pushed hard not to micromanage. Weird to see all the adverse incentives I experienced all lined up like this. Curious if anyone else has developed any strategies.
