No Nix is not like the other lying leaky abstractions. Nixpkgs takes great effort not to slap another layer in top, but actually wade through the muck and actually fix problems at their source.

So sound very alienated and have a realistically cynical that accurately reflects of most of the industry. But please don't assume everything has to be that way. Tools like Nix and community efforts like Nixpkgs really are the exception.
