Welcome to shitty "tech" journalism playing the telephone game. You start with a pretty tame report, and 2-3 articles down the line, Ring is suddenly giving your new born baby to the government.
Nowhere in the original there's talk of giving user location, yet Yahoo someone starts talking of "detailed map of doorbell installation", for whatever definition of "detailed".
