I have a Surface Book and after having the flexibility of having a work/drawing/gaming device in one device makes everything else seem incredibly useless.

I always see this argument around here and Reddit. Even as a huge Apple fanboy I think it's stupid.

Touch is a great input method. Cursors are a great input method. Apple is the only computer company not offering a device with both.

The reason why apple doesn't want it is because it would cannibalize iPad sales. The reason why I don't want it is because it would either jack up the price of the macbook, or result in other components being worse to keep the price point the same.

I have the iPad Pro. It doesn’t even beginto compare to what I use my Macbook for.

I have an MacBook Pro and it doesn't even being to compare to what my iPad Pro can do.

I've done the vast majority of research, planning, organizing, and documenting my new house build on the iPad and it's massively better at pretty much everything.

Of course the MBP kicks ass for my day job as a developer. Different form factors, different software, different use-cases.

I actually agree with you. I was objecting to the parent's implication that a Macbook with touchscreen == iPad Pro.
