Because they profited from this firm and likely actively worked with them to enable what’s now being characterized as a “breach”. And this is one of many hundreds of other companies doing the same thing. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg. If they are pushing back they are afraid we will find out how deep it goes.
That’s interesting, hadn’t thought about that, but undoubtedly there are hundreds more examples of this. That’s a congressional investigation they would probably like to avoid...
