Or desktops. Or heavy laptops. Current i7s seem designed for the MacBook Pro. That should have been the i5 or i3 segment.


Big laptop i7s have something like a 50W TDP. It's quite a lot, even for a somehow "heavy" laptop... You can do maybe twice more on extra heavy laptop (for hardcore gamers) that probably only few people want.


You want a laptop processor hotter than 50W?


It has a fan. There's no need for more watts to make it hotter.
