Orb is building a consumer-priced 3D-360 video camera designed from the ground up for recording virtual reality experiences.
We've built our third generation prototype and have made lots of progress on the camera hardware. Our current technical challenge is implementing a parallax-tolerant depth-aware stitching algorithm in C/C+. Ultimately, we need to achieve real-time stereoscopic 3D video stitching onboard the camera itself implemented in an FPGA/ASIC. You'll be leading the hardware, firmware, and software teams to achieve this.
