while i agree on tv, switching from 8ms response time monitor to 1ms with 100% srgb coverage and proper contrast made me able to skim on text much faster.
fries - completely ok: a lot of people get in contact with them, but putting sign on them while not putting warning over any other harmfully (over)fried products seem at least illogical(yea, creating regulations doesnt work in us, or at least there's no efficient mechanism, but still)
sand - widespread construction material, i wonder why they only put label regarding cancer instead of placing usage restriction over maximum allowed radiation flux produced from square meter area of material(some decorative stones would not fit into safe range but are ok for a lifetime risk of any person)
such companies with salaries under average market level wont work well due to
1. corporate bureacracy - managers usually are undercompetent and tend to ignore personal matters so team members might bully eachother
2. idealistic people usually have a couple of nuts loose in their heads, combine two or more such persons and you get problem for entire team - linux's coc is one example.
so nearly every org without really focused goal and means of it's following will go the mozilla way, the marissa meyer and such...
it will happen every time if managerial part ignore specifics of programmer work.
i dont see real issue here. if they are afraid that landing plane might be hit by him - simply crash a cheap drone into that man, that would strongly discourage him from flying nearby because it hurts a lot
ok, what you do when someone modifies the product you're using so you cant continue to use it the way you did before, and you cant fix it or alter it due to legal or community reasons? you move away to different product.
what the people who use/develop kernel would do when they become unable to modify large part of kernel code that is highly needed for their work?
business doesnt work like typical consumer, there is no "products" that they pick from the big market
while warning part is valid, it's a little bit strange to see this on developing related website.
regarding the detection and added security - this is security through obscurity which has more downsides than protection it provides. not discussing the loss of privileges for device owner
