I wonder where this notion comes from that you can not fail fast in engineering. Both science and engineering are all about fail fast and fail often or even all the time. This is the base tenet of both engineering and science. FAIL. A lot.

agree on the whole elitism notion. it is about time we abolish that :)

While we are at flaws:

Clever programmers are the worst as clever code is the worst idea for any kind of maintenance.

Maybe we should use Leetcode to weed out the clever ones. Thank you for that idea!
