So because one of your family members has a better quality of life and can live closer to a normal person the rest of us shouldn't worry at all about AI? And anyone who talks against it is a cunt then? What an intelligent argument lmao.

He says he regrets inventing the technology. That statement stinks of arrogance. He gives trite worn examples of negatives while intentionally ignoring the analysis of benefits. He provides nothing new to the conversation and shirks responsibility to provide analysis and work beyond what a scifi writer can do. But, he is risking a panic, risking us into making a reactionary move rather than a move come to by careful thoughtful analysis. All for a bruised ego. He doesn't deserve praise.

did you really have to add the pronouns mate?

"that's a great point" would suffice

wouldn't you agree?

The upvote button is fine if all you want to say is "great point"

or even just "they"

You aren't going to have a whole lot of company. All of the major style guides have given it the nod because they are practical.

It's a weakness in English, lacking a unique indefinite pronoun - so we're probably stuck with "they" unless a neologism sticks.

i have so much trouble with they as singular because ESL + romantic language with no genderless pronoun.

i always call users "he" because user is, by default, male in my native language.

Intended by whom?

You could potentially get fired, but I don't think you employer will actually end you for it.

If I were to die on an English-related hill, I would probably pick one that didn't put me in opposition with Shakespeare.

I disagree with point 3)

People used to have big desire to meet each other and exchange information. Internet evolution has throttled that desire greatly, we don't have one to one or group conversations any more, not nearly as much as we used to, social media & mainstream access are the culprits.

In terms of conversation you got a point yourself, however you cannot compare food with currency. Food is connected to us on a biological level, currency is a construct of society.

They are not compareable imo.

I'm not seeing what is about food being "connected to us on a biological level" that makes the comparison fail.

Not all aspects of two things have to be similar in order for a comparison to succeed (such a comparison is of course actually impossible).

Hey brother, I made an account just to reply to your comment, I enjoyed your website and grew my knowledge reading it.
