I can turn off other features and work around them but the most annoying yet harmless is the flicker when you switch to an inactive app. The title bar and the window contents change their color at different frames. It requires ditching Breeze and using other theme engines/decorations altogether.

I currently use niri but Plasma has always been my go-to/backup DE. I always have it installed in case someone else has to use my PC.

It depends on people and their age (of eyes). None of my parents/elders (except an uncle; he's the only one who's had LASIK) could see the point of my 240Hz monitor.

The only feral-like response here is the OP's follow-up "Bullshit..." itself.

Identity apps as well as apps to access government and social programs.

I use it via Chromium. Are there additional features in the Electron version?

There is no electron version of MS Teams on Linux (any more). Thanks Microsoft!

It makes hacking easier in some ways too. Overlay any hacks. It will be gone by reboot unless you want otherwise. Also see blue-build.org <- It helps you to put all your hacks in the immutable image.

It's a vocal minority on the internet which also owns a lots of other computing devices. I'm one.

IMHO most people in the real world increasingly use their smartphone as their primary computer and want a big screen.

Have you tried setting MSWord's default save format to Strict OOXML for inter-operation with LibreOffice?

I've generated the docs in LibreOffice and tried to only use that. My intent wasn't too use MS Word at all.

But I have used Word for work.

Or a 5-button mouse.

Not so much. In USB mice, in my experience, the buttons are usually manifested in import reports as actual button usages, not as keys.

Xbox 360 (which ran a modified version of Win 2000) had 3 PowerPC cores.

The ps3 had 7. Also for yield reasons.

Well, the PS3 had 1 PowerPC core, the PPE, with 8 SPEs. One of which gets disabled for yield, another gets taken by the Hypervisor.
